Re: Dynamic Welder Co. 75D

I am actualy trying to find out what it's value is today, he payed $27.95 for it in 1939. To me it's worth a lot? My Grandfather was quit a man. At the age of 13 he and his brother left Ohio for California and picked fruit. 1928 on a blind date He meet my Grandmother, he was a coal miner. After they married he got a job as a surveyor for USC&G. Surveying the western United States. 1939 they settled in Bare Oil WY. (Rawlins WY.) He started his Trucking Company, hauling the US Mail from Cheyanne WY, to Salt Lake City UT. In his life had several trucking company's hauling a wide verity of products. I spent many summer with him and Gradema as a kid. When my father now 67 years old gave this welder to me and told me some great story's "1949" and on of watching him fix his equipment with it. As you can see he took care of everthing he had, Grandma first. He passed in 1996. I have several of his shop tools and would like someone with a Welder collection have this one. I hope one of you will like it!

Re: Dynamic Welder Co. 75D

I found this post while trying to find info on this machine. I haven't been able to turn up anything else. I have exactly the same welder. I found it covered with dust in my father-in-laws garage after he passed away. I cleaned it up and showed it to a friend who has been professionally welding for 30 yrs. He never had seen one like it, but we set it up and plugged it in. He used a light rod, and had no trouble running a bead on 20 guage steel. With the cables plugged in the very hot setting, he could cut the same piece of steel with the rod. No one that I have talked to has any idea of what it would be worth, or if it is a collectible. Have you had any sucess in finding anything out about it? I would appreciate anything you could tell me about it.

Thank you
