Hoosiers were hot items during the 1980's- 90's, but are now not near as sought after. They peaked in value for a really good one in perfect condition at about $1800.00, now it is possible to pick a oak example up in restored condition for under $1000.00. The painted examples are a hard to sell item right now, to give you an idea here's a links to auctions figures for this year: http://www.liveauctioneers.com/search?q=hoosier&fq=sale_date_year%3A%282010%29&sort=relevance&dtype=gallery&hasimage=true&type=complete&rows=20&pagenum=2
