Description
It is black and has been glazed inside and on the top rim. It feels like a very rough clay. There are no cracks, chips. I recently sent photos and information to a New York Museum. I was told it is Earthenware and by it's form, dates back to middle/late 1800's.
Re: 1790's Antique Pottery Pitcher
I'm not sure how this works, does anyone know how I can get an appraisal on this? Does anyone know anything about pottery from that time frame? I would be willing to sell if price is right.
Re: 1790's Antique Pottery Pitcher
Did you dig this up? If you dug it from a battle field area then you should probably contact the war museum in that area for information. They might want it back though. :)
