Large and heavy (10 lbs.?) earthenware crackled and glazed charger-20 inches in diameter. A reputable ceramics dealer in NYC thought that it was mid century art studio, possibly from Ohio or California. I think there's a possibility it may be Scandinavian (Danish?). It appears to be unmarked although there is a white curved line on the back which may or may not be on purpose. A ceramist informed me that the "runny drippy effect" was glaze on glaze technique. Personally, I find the charger simply stunning.
