Description
Found in the attic of my grandparents house. It has lion handles and is in excellent condition - save for the dust.
I know these are quite common, but I didn't see one like it in any other posts.
The tag on the bottom says Forest Park Line No. 4404
Re: ED ROOS Company Cedar Chest
The Roos company was in business from 1916 - 1951, operating in Forest Park Illinois. The company produced these chests in all the popular styles from Colonial to Art Deco. Most furniture in this style was produced during the mid 1920's until World War II. Values vary considerably for these chests, depending on quality of construction, wood type and how close they follow original period designs. This one is in the colonial reviavl style, much loved diuring the 1920's through 30's. Most today sell for under $300.00
