Knowles is a very well known American company, probably best known for their limited edition pieces for companies such as the Franklin Mint. That said, the demand for 20th century dinnerware like this is very weak right now, a result of the market being flooded by seniors downsizing or settlelments of their estates. Sets likew this now often sell for less than $250.00.
