EGW&S is the company E. G. Webster & Son of Brooklyn NY. The firm was in business from 1886-1928 and was known primarily for its silver-plate holloware featuring exuberant chasing and reposse work

If your E. G. Webster & Son piece is not marked " Sterling", it's unlikely that it's anything but silver plated. if you have any doubts have its silver content tested by a jeweler.
