Re: Egyptian Bronze Statues By Emile Louis Picault
Can someone please help me need to know value.
Thanks
Re: Egyptian Bronze Statues By Emile Louis Picault
These are almost certainly "after picault" statues, that is reproductions. I would advise seeking the expertise of a bronze expert to confirm that, but pieces sitting on new marble bases like that are almost exclusively reproductions. As reproductions, $1500-2000 retail.

Here is a link where you can view a few originals mixed in with a reproductions. It does appear for certain that's what yours are, note the differences in the colorization of the majority of the originals compared to yours and the base design I mentioned, which is identical to quite a few of the newer reproductions sold. At auction it looks like pairs identical to yours are ranging from $800 on a bad day to $2500 on a fantastic day and prices vary depending on which part of the country you are located in aswell.
