Elephant ivory sculpture of Venus sleeping?

Description

Inherited from my Godfather in NY about 1970.  Elephant ivory carving of sleeping Venus after German sculptor Leonhard Kern (17th C).  Piece is elephant ivory with Schreger lines.  Quite a heavy piece.  No discernable signature although there is a small number "15" carved on the reverse (inventory number?) and underlined (see photo).  No apparent damage or reairs anywhere but there are ivory age lines.  The piece is about 8-1/2" long, 3-1/2" wide and 2-1/2" high.  A magnificent carving with a lot of detail.  Not a doctor's doll.

(1) A old piece (18th C) possibly Goanese, (2) A piece from the end of the Neoclassical period well-carved probably by a professional ivory sculptor, (3) Austrian - early 20th C, (4) South German
