We really need images, these chests were made from just before WW1 until the 1950's in a wide variety of styles. Lovejoy

I have an e.r.c.o. cedar chest that was just restored.  It was my grandmother's possibly my great grandmother's.  The man who restored it told me it was approx a hundred years old and the front has a shell design where the lock is and a partial dowel across the bottom.  He has not given me a price on the piece and I restored it for sentimental value with intentions of keeping it in the family.  These were often used back in the day as a hope chest.
