Description These were passed down in my family. They were given to my great great grandfather (last name Skillman) during the peace treaties. I was told by my dad that they were Alaska Eskimo mukluk's and were appraised at 800.00. Any information is greatly appreciated!

Mukluk – reaching to lower calf, originally worn by Alaskan Eskimos and made of walrus hide or sealskin, moccasin construction, tanned with the hair left on. here is a link to a simalar item tho u have to join to find out what they sold for.Sorry I am not a member of the site. http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/ladies-vintage-eskimo-indian-mukluks-fur-boots this is a link to a shop that deals in native american memorabilia and if they can't help otherwise they might give you pointer in the right direction. Failing that try doing a search for antique dealers in Alaska and contact them with full info and attatch photo but not more than the size shown here, don't make them chase for the picture in other words. this would come under antique clothing/coustomes and would likely have more of a localized interest and you would be be more likely to get an idea of value from the actual area they originated
