Description
This couch was purchased in the early 1990’s at an estate sale in Minnesota for around $500. The upholstery has come loose to some extent, it still has the original stuffing. We called it a fainting couch because it looked like other pieces given that name. It is unusual in that it opens into a bed and we hadn’t seen one do this. The couch is 6 feet wide and 3 feet high.

Re: fainting couch with horse hair stuffing
Values for pieces like this peaked when you bought this in the 1990's. It's in the Eastlake style which was first popular from about 1870-1890. In the current market comparable example often go at auction for less than $150.00.
