Family BIRKS tea set

Appraisal complete
Description

I was handed down the family tea set.
It has a large copper tray, smaller copper plate, five piece sterling silver tea set and silver claw foot tongs.
On the bottom it is stamped BIRKS
Sterling 84/3 m
Then has some sort of animal an M or W and a tree or mushroom.
It says in cursive
The original was made during the reign of King George 1st.
I was told it was gift to my grannies family from the Queen herself??
My grannies has passed away so I'm not 100% sure of the details.
I need to polish it up and get it insured.
Please help me with any information you may have.
Thanks.
