Description
I have several intact volumes of the Godey's Ladies Book and Petersons Magazine from the 1850s through the 1880s. They are in good condition and have hundreds of colorized fashion plates from those eras. A lot of civil war articles and home culture of that time. These were collected from family, then my mother and her brother collected them as interest for years.
I am wondering the value, as I am considering having the fashion plates framed and sold, or if I should try and sell the entire collection intact. I may donate them to a fashion institute, but I am unsure if there is an interested market for these.
