I would definitely recommend

I would definitely recommend getting it appraised in person by a professional. If you live in a major city you may want to begin with your local museum as a resource. Be sure whomever you go to that you get several professional in person appraisals before selling. Beautiful piece.

Reproduction Figure After Marcel Debut (FRENCH, 1865-1933)

My French is a little rusty, but this piece was actually sold for 70,000 French Francs, not American dollars, the certificate also indicates in the bottom line "Cette piece est une reproduction de fabrication francais actuelle", that the figure is a modern 1980's reproduction based on an original by Marcel Debut and not an original from 1865. The work of Marcel Debut (FRENCH, 1865-1933) has been widely reproduced since the 1980's and much of it now coming up for sale at auction is not reaching minimum bids of $1500.00 and withdrawn from sale.
