Re: Federal mahogany mirror with painted gold eagle
The mirror is in the Chippendale style. It is likley a reproduction and note the mirror is unfoxed (silver peeling and or oxidized) Also there was a period 100 years after the founding of our country when it became very popular to build replica items. These items are known as Centenial Furniture since they were made for the 1876 centenial. They are now quite old and difficult to separate as replicas.
My guess is yours is from the colonial revival period though of the 1940's - 1970's
