I picked up a pair of figurines at an estate sale. They are in very good condition, and stamped on the bottom it says Made in Occupied Japan.

Occupied Japan markings were used circa 1945 -1952. Figurines like this are based on 18th century originals by Meissen and those made in the nearby city of Dresden. Values for them tend to be modest, often under $100.00 at auction for the pair.
