Flower Etched Red Glass Covered Bowl?

By recherisher, 17 January, 2008
Description

i am sorry-i really only know that she has had it as long as I have been alive-there are baby pix of me that it is in. She was Greek and her collectibles EXTREMELY vary in origin-as you will see. I have some incredible things... I kind of think that it may be of Turkish origin-just a memory flash though.

I'd appreciate any help learning something about this piece...

I have been left an estate with some truly remarkable things but I have so many old glass items that I cannot research myself because of the lack of makers mark or any identifiable markings or characteristics. i have learned alot about many of her pieces that I would also like your opinion on...[after getting through all of the things I cannot research.] I need the money-so everything IS for sale if anyone is interested. I just need accurate info and an idea of value so I know where to begin. Also if anyone can comment on limitations of use of this site as I have over 40 things- glass sets, tea cup sets, silver, porcelain, everything very old and I know very valuable-as My aunt was a very knowledgable and particular collector. Everything she ever owned was of top quality and price was never an issue. Thank You so much for helping me now and I hope many more times in the future. It is greatly appreciated! I am in a bad financial way and this is a Godsend for me to have found!  THANK YOU! Recherisher :)

Flower Etched Red Glass Covered Bowl?

This is late 19th Century Bohemian glass, it was made in large numbers , so values are still modest for most pieces. Pieces like this sell for under $75.00.
