Foley Bone China Nut Bowl

Description I think the bowl is classified as a 'nut bowl'. The stamp on the bottom reads: Foley Bone China Established 1950 A Griffin icon Century Rose Produced 1950 Made in England. All that info. is straight forward-I think. However, I have found the name 'Paul Granet' in minute gold cursive written on the inside of the bowl towards the rim. Could someone tell me something about this person, was he an artist/designer for Foley or was he a free-lance. Who is or was he and has he added any value to this 'nut bowl' by his signature? Thank you
