Description
Both Foo Dogs are unbelievably carved and the surface is a smooth on the back of the dogs. The mane is very carefully carved to give the effect of a real mane. Everything is so detailed from the mane to the dogs teeth to the little Foo under its paw.

History
Bought in Namphong Thailand in 1972 while stationed at Marine base. The gentleman at the little shop said it was made from elephant bone. I tried to find others like them at different places in Thailand my first tour and my second but could not find anything as beautiful as these.
