Re: Forest City Desk Wash Stand
Forest City Furniture was in operation between 1869 and 1919.
Here's a furniture ad for your piece on an envelope from 1898, calling it "No. 348 Desk Washstand" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Furniture-Ad-Cover-Forest-City-Furniture-Co-DESKS-Rockford-IL-1898-S6474-/321305702753
Re: Forest City Desk Wash Stand
Thank you Becolt,
The pictures I posted is one on craigs list that they are asking $350. The handles are more ornate that the one I had. They are more like that of the ad you linked. Unfortunately we had to make room at our house and it went up at auction this weekend. It was not an antique auction and ended up going for $120. Wish I could of kept it.
