Description

I cannot find this lamp anywhere. I have tried for six days. I'm being pointed to modern Hollywood Regency butnI can't determine if this is K9, lead crystal or cubic zirconia. This lamp is the prettiest lamp I have ever seen. Somewhat heavy but not too heavy. Please help me find this lamp so that I can know this isn't an heirloom and I can finally rest.. and have some peace of mind!

Appraisal of Found Crystal Lamp

Physical Description: This luminous boudoir-style lamp features a body reminiscent of modern Hollywood Regency design, characterized by a flower-like structure and a faceted teardrop design. The lamp is topped with a silver-lined white drum shade. The base appears to be crafted from a clear crystalline material, potentially lead crystal or K9 glass, though its exact composition remains uncertain. The lamp's dimensions are currently unknown, and it is described as somewhat heavy but not excessively so.

Condition Assessment: The lamp is in fair condition (2/5). Notable wear includes a socket that may have undergone repairs, and the absence of any identifying marks or logos complicates its provenance. The overall aesthetic remains intact, with no visible cracks or chips on the crystal body, although the wiring should be inspected for safety.

Historical Context: The lamp likely falls within the modern Hollywood Regency period, a design movement that emerged in the early to mid-20th century, characterized by its glamour and opulence. This style often incorporates luxurious materials and bold designs, appealing to collectors interested in vintage home decor.

Collector Appeal: Collectors value this category for its stylish design, rarity, and the nostalgic charm of the Hollywood Regency era. The intricate craftsmanship and potential for unique designs make such lamps desirable for both collectors and interior decorators.

Interesting Facts: The lamp's unique design may be reminiscent of works by notable designers like Jonathan Y, known for contemporary interpretations of classic styles. The use of crystal in lighting fixtures is not only decorative but also enhances the quality of light, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.
