Description

I acquired these about 50 years ago but I have no idea of their actual age. They depict ducks that appear to be strung up after the hunt. Both are framed and in good condition. From the front they look to be nicely painted reliefs out of wood, however when inspected from the back they appear to actually be layers of compressed cardboard. The larger is 28" tall by 21" wide, and the smaller is 25" tall by 18" wide.

Medium not sure, appears to be layers of compressed cardboard, but lacquered front looks like wood relief. frames are wood.

Without any labels it's very hard to determine what company made these, most like this post date World War Two, similar pressed paper reliefs were made again during the 1980's. We'd retail a comparable in a good frame for about $150.00.
