French Statue Clock

Description

"The Hunt of the Boar."  Scene is hunter on reared horse with four hunting dogs and attacking boar.  Restored to original beauty and operation by my Mother, a clock respration specialist.  Keeps accurate time.  Statue and clock are footed with lions feet.  Very ornate with exquisite detail. Dark bronze.

History My Mother, a clock restoration specialist, bought clock at show. It was found buried in a small town outside Paris and was believed to have been hidden from the Germans in WWII.

There is not enough detail in the image to really determine much, one would need to examine the movement  for marks. Clocks like this generally date from the last quarter of the 19th century. Values for them depend a great deal on the maker, most of the better clocks are well marked.
