French Sword and Scabbard

By bbhkog, 19 October, 2007
Description

"Manuf_re d'armes de bh'at _u Mai 1874 - bav_rie l_re M_b 1822" (the underscores and italisized letters are written on the sword as a dash with the letters above)

Slightly curved Blade 36" in straight line from Hilt to Point.  Hilt is 5" across.

It's fairly heavy to handle.  The sword alone weighs 2.5, with the scabbard it's 4.5

My parents got this from a family friend and it's been hanging on a wall in their home as decoration.  It has no dents, dings, or scratches and just a few little tarnished spots.
