Re: Fruit Bowl and Candlestick Holders

My dad has the exact same bowl, however, the picture contains only 1 large rose as oppsed to the multiple flowers seen in GLDelker's picture.  I would love to know what your bowl was worth.

Did you ever find out the value?

Re: Fruit Bowl and Candlestick Holders

I have the very same set, with bowl and candlesticks in mint condition that I bought at a garage sale. I see it looks like you completed the appraisal form, how long ago was that? Did you ever get an appraisal ? I was hoping to view yours but I don't see that you received one. I'll date this today, 1-17-12 so we can see if yours gets an appraisal. I figure there is no reason to post a photo of mine just yet since it is the very same thing, but I will if I don't see your appraisal within a couple of weeks. Good luck!

Re: Fruit Bowl and Candlestick Holders

Very limited value I'm afraid. pieces like this were mass produced items made for the low end giftware market. Much of it was made in Japan, but had American retailer/importer labels. Comparable sets at auction often sell for less than $50.00.

Re: Fruit Bowl and Candlestick Holders

Lovejoy you seem pretty up on things. ;0) My set says Chicago 21 instead of 5 and in addition has maybe "b7" in the same 22 kt overlay as the bowl marked on the bottom???? I can't find anything on the net that says Chicago 21. Any ideas? Thanks so much!
