Description

I would like to find out what year this was made as well as appraisal and possible sale of this refrigerator.  This GE monitor top is white and has serial number 40-933-468.  It runs well and all the seals and hinges work nicely. The legs all attach although they are unattached in these pictures for ease of movement.  The only item it is missing is one of the corner metal strips on the back.

There are some chips in the paint but generally it is a beautiful white color (yellow looking in the pictures due to the shade cloth it is under.)

Ge brought out their Monitor top fridge in 1927, switching to the "Globe" top in the early 1930's. Single door Monitor Tops, in good, working condition, are worth an average of $250 to $400 in “as is” condition. The rarer two door and three door units are worth what you are willing to pay for them. Completely restored single door models sell for $3400 to $3900.
