Re: George Arndt Quarter Sawn Oak Rocking Chair
Very Nice Chair
Circa 1900 - 1910 Gerorge Arndt Chair Company Dansville New York.
Some of these pieces are signed by the carver and example is here
https://www.bargainjohn.com/product/carved-oak-chair-with-eagle
Many of these have manufacturers name on bottom of seat. This piece was made for more of a decorative piece then practicle one that would be sat on regularly.
Prices with these pieces fluctuate based on market and demand.
Est value: $400 - $750 US ... current ... this could increase in certain market and based on demand.
Just an FYI ... when looking at old rocking chairs the length of the rockers from the upright spindles can aid in identification. Providence is also important. With antique furniture its important to see how it was assembled as well.
Lovely Antique Piece of American History ... Thanks for sharing/
