History Imprinted as made by the D. E. McNicol Potter Company of East Liverpool, Ohio. The company began in 1862 under John S. Goodwin in 1862 and was sold to John McNicol in 1869. His son, Daniel E. McNicol took over and incorporated the company in 1892. In 1914 a new plant was built in Clarksburg, W. VA, operating under the same management. These pieces were likely wedding presents to my Grandmother Norvia Mae England Huff.
