German Candlestick holder

Description

I was given this by my Landlord as a wedding gift 30 years ago.  I was living in Stuttgart at the time.  She told me that is was from East Germany before the wall went up.  I have tried looking everywhere and can't find anything about it.  The markings are unreadable and I can't find anything about the sticker "Lux".  There is also a "V" ingraved on the bottom and a number 97 (looks hand written)
