This berry bowl set has been in the family for a long time---which would lead me to believe that it is of value. I know very little about it. I was told that it originally belonged to my great great great grandmother. Out of curiosity I recently took it to a local antique store---and was told that it is essentially worthless. I accept this, since none of the bowls have any distinguishing marks (they were, I suppose, factory-made)...but this just doesn't explain why the set was handed down throughout the years. What, if anything, makes it so special? And exactly how old is it? And, finally, what should I do with it? One of the 6 serving bowls has a crack.
