Description

The main body of the ring is done in Sterling silver.  The top of the ring has what looks to me like a Man and Woman, with the womans head behind the mans.  They are made of Gold.  They are raised about 1/4" high on a black background which is most likely onyx, but I don't know this for sure without it being tested.  On each open side of the ring there is an elephant in gold.   On each shank side of the ring, all in gold, there are two elephants with their trunks touching and they are standing over a Goddess sitting on a Lotus Flower.  Under each Lotul Flower, also in gold, is a Heart.  The ring is marked on the back with "Sterling/10K".  The top of the ring measures about 1" by 1".  The ring is slightly out of round, but it measures appox. 1 3/16"  from the top to bottom and 7/8".  The ring weighs 2 full ounces.  I think it's about a size 10 to 10.5.  I am hoping to find out perhaps some history of the ring as well as a value.  The price wanted for the ring is $650.00 if anyone is interested.  This is based on a previous appraisal of $650-$850 from "JustAnswer" and pricing it at the lower end.  This is a rare and unusual ring that you would be happy and proud to wear or give to a loved one, especially if the symbols have special meaing to you.  It seems to me like it has "love" as it's meaning because of the hearts, the elephants for longevity and the goddess, as well as the man's and woman's heads together.
