Gold or gold-plated Ronson lighter. Marks on bottom:

15V

MADE IN FRANCE

There is a box under that with markings:

RL

PLUB BAL

or

PL 18 BAL

I am not sure exactly...they are very hard to see even with a jeweler's loupe.
