Gorham was one of the biggest silver companies in the USA, this piece is silverplate and made by them about 1900-25. Values for silverplate piecesdepend a great deal on how well they polish up, if the plating is worn values are very minimal at under $20.00

So should I attempt to polish it then? I thought that was always a bad idea from a collectors point of view? And thank you so much for the info I really have no idea what I have here and any info helps . Thanks again
