The Great Flags of America Mini-Ingot Collection by The Franklin Mint

By EricMcAllister, 27 August, 2010
Description

The collection is accompanied by the original Certificate of Authenticity. It was purchased back in 1974 by my great grandfather and has since been passed down to me. It was issued in a strictly limited edition by The Franklin Mint and consists of 42 Solid Sterling Silver Mini-Ingot flags. The set includes all flags that have been flown by the United States of America or that have been flown on U.S. soil, dating back to the Flag of Spain which was the first flag flown on what is now U.S. soil by Ponce de Leon in 1513. All of the flags are in Mint condition and are housed in a wood box where they have stayed for the past 36 years.
