Description

Hi, it's a writing desk, hand carved, and believed to be Scottish in origin, and also believed to be at least 100 years old. The carving extends all around the desk, with different patterns on the sides to the top. There is also an internal small door which has a lock, but it doesn't work, neither does the main lock on the front of the desk. The runners at the bottom of the desk are in good condition apart from the front, which quite obviously shows signs of wear and tear consistent with the age. The front lock has the imprint of "secure hand made four lever Imperial safe and hard with modern improvements"

There is some damage to the front under cove right hand side, which is split but still in place. Generally the wood looks in good condition all round.
