HAND PAINTED LAMPS FROM FRANCE

By ubwildbill, 17 August, 2013
Description

2 HAND PAINTED LAMPS FROM FRANCE. BOTH HAVE PAINTINGS ON EACH SIDE. THEY STAND ABOUT 3 FEET TALL. ONE LAMP HAS "GILLET" SIGNATURE ON PAINTING THE OTHER HAS NOTHING. THERE WERE WHITE SILK SHADES BUT THEY ROTTED OFF FROM BEING IN STORAGE FOR 20 PLUS YEARS. THE FRAME FOR THE LAMPSSHADES ARE GOOD. THESE HAVE BEEN IN MY FAMILY FOR THE LAST 48 YEARS THAT I KNOW OF. I DO NOT KNOW THE AGE OF ORIGIN OF THESE LAMPS. ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LAMP IT SAYS HAND PAINTED IN FRANCE.

i WOILD LIKE TO FIND OUT WHAT THESE LAMPS ARE WORTH PLEASE...I WAS GOING TO GET NEW SILK SHADES MADE WHICH ARE EXPENSE AND PUT THEM IN MY LIVING ROOM. JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE IT IS WORTH IT BEFORE I DO.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
