Description
I am not a collector, however I found this at a yard sale and loved the colors. I would like to know, besides value, what this piece is. Should it have a lid? It looks like a small planter to me. Perusing books and internet, I have not seen anything similar other than the larger ferners. From my research I believe it is authentic Nippon. There is wearing of the gold at each corner as indicated in the photos but it is free of cracks and chips. Any information on this piece would be wonderful.
