Description This is an exquisite unmarked piece, except for a possible signature at the bottom outer edge which may possibly be a "ss" in the middle of the name. I tried to photograph the signature , but was unable to get a clear image of it.I disassembled the base carefully, and, if it was ever a marked piece, it may have been drilled through for the electrical cord, although it didn't look that way to me. Showing it to some avid local collectors, their opinions tended to Nippon or, Limoges. The painting is delicate and very accomplished. The artist used a varied palette in many shades. The only damage I found on this piece is a tiny knick that is covered by the antique flange on the top of the lamp base, directly below the lamp socket.
