Hanson Grandfather Clock

Stamped date on back but difficult to read, may be 1932 or 1952

Hanson is an American company, was located in Rockford, Illinois. The movements were generally imported from Germany . Most like this one date from the second quarter of the 20th century. At auction they sell for under $1000.

I have the exact same clock, handed down from my grandparents. I also have had some of the mechanicals replaced and the screens on the sides replaces with glass to keep dust out. It runs excellent with a few nicks here and there still having the original finish. Like above I have paperwork but no dates. Just a number stamp of 315 on the clocks inside door. I am looking to sell but not for under $1000.00. It must certainly be worth more then that.

I have the same clock--but it has no weights.

Please could you tell me the weights on your clock?

1. I have the same clock. The people that have you comments don’t know what they are talking about. O have the paperwork that came with the clock. The clock was made in 1949, I have the paper that’s was inside the clock, and I know that the clock cost way more than $1000.00 in 1950 when mine was   Purchased !!!  I also know from paperwork that the insid was not  British made. The clock time piece was made in  Germany or England . I have many pictures of the clock and the  documentation, I can send you. 
2. The Hanson Company made 1000’s of clocks, but that say that made a lot of the clocks you and I have. They were very expensive back in the late 40’s and 50’s.
