Description
I received this set as a gift. There are 6 cups and saucers with the original storage box. The box is hard case similar to silver cases. It is lined in felt and the satin label inside says, Haviland & Co. Limoges, Paris 1878, patented US Feb. 10, 1878. In researching I do know there was an exposition in Paris in 1878, have not been able to find a list of items displayed by Haviland. In all my research of Haviland I have never seen any sets in the original storage box and I know that usually adds value to antiques. Can anyone give me additional info on this item?
