I have what I believe to be an inkwell made by Haviland Limoges. This item is a rounded off square shape with some scalloping at each corner. It stands about 2 1/2" tall and 4" wide. The background is white porcelain with quail and flowers as decoration. There is a gold band at the lip and a gold dot on top of the little lid. The inside is a small, thimble shaped, sealed well about the size of a shot glass. And, there is a hole into a hollow area in one corner, just larger than the diameter of a pencil. It is backstamped in green with "Limoges" over "FRANCE", flanked by a star on either side. And, in blue with "Haviland" under what appears to be a castle turret with a line flanking each side of it. The word "LIMOGES" is under Haviland, and below that is "Golden Quail" in script. There is a blue star below that, flanked by a line on each side. The inner side of the lid is stamped in green with "Haviland" in an arch, and "France" below it. I can easily find a few pieces in this pattern online at various sites for sale. I cannot find this particular item. Can you identify it for me? Approximate age? Value? Thank you in advance.
