Description My brother found this ashtray on the beach in Durban SA about 30 years ago. I had a tough time cleaning it up. It has the word "Balholm" stamped underneath. (The letters are stamped individually.) It has 3 cigar holders. It has the image of a cherub holding a long pipe, another cherub or boy in period clothing is lighting the pipe. There is a DRAON WHICH IS LOOKING DOWN AT THEM FROM THE SIDE OF THE PIECE. One dealer told me that it was used for occult purposes and the gigar holders were in fact candle rests and a heart would be burnt in the piece.(dont know if this is true) I did research and found that threre was a town called "Balholm" but the name has since changed to Balestrand. Please help with history and value. Kind regards Raymond Gunn
