Description

I know only that this item was manufactured by Homan. I bought it at an estate sale many years ago, packed it up, and only recently rediscovered it. According to some research I've done on the internet, it was made between 1847 & 1896.

This item is VERY tarnished, don't know the best polish to use on it.

Dishes like this were used to serving treats and non acidic foods. I wouldn't worry about what type of polish to use, any household polish for silver will work, but chances are the silver plating might be quite worn underneath and even missing in places. You really need to polish it before a value caqn be determinede, because silverplated items that's  worn or damaged is basically worthless.
