The HOME OF WASHINGTON OR MOUNT VERNON AND ITS ASSOCIATIONS, HISTORICAL, BIOGRAPHICAL, AND PICTORIAL

By Anton Hof, 14 August, 2010
Description

This edition is old. The covers are brown in colour with the silhouette of Washington in gold as well as the page edges. The pages themselves are a faded yellow/brownish. All text and illustrations are intact and clear. There is a separate drawing cutout of a man. It is either a photograph or reprint of a man from the era of the book, possibly the author. It is faded to a golden / bronze. In between the first pages of the book is a tissue type paper that separates two illustrations, first: of Washington and another man on horses with a hound and two people standing on an estate with the words MOUNT VERNON at the bottom of the page....second: Washington with the words From the original picture in the Boston Athenceum taken from life in 1795.
