Description
I have a beautiful cherrywood dining set that my mother inherited from her aunt and has passed it along. It has JD Woodworking Louisville stamped on the underside of the table, but I am aware that this company was responsible for the slides.
The table has four chairs and two captain chairs. Wood is prestine. The table protector is always in use.
Stamped inside the leaves is HOMER BROTHERS.
The buffet is also in mint condition, the top protected under glass.
My mother inherited this 42 years ago from her aunt who may have had it at least 20 years. She always admired it and so do I.
I have no idea how to price this gorgeous set.
The chairs were professionally reapholstered about 20 years ago.
Re: Homer Brothers Vintage Dining Set 6 Tufted Chairs, Table ...
Sets like this one typically date from the 1920's to WW2 (1939) and are a mix of early English furniture styles. It's a great set, but in the current market they are not selling very well, whole sets like this now often sell for less than $1000.00 at auction
