It's what's called Empire Revival and dates after the turn of the 19th Century, pieces like this were made into the 1920's. There is very little demand for furniture of this type, we retail pieces like this for less than $500.00

Hi and Thank you Lovejoy
I still am having a hard time because I know it is a Empire revival and they are not that popular right now but it is the maker that I am stumped with. because I was told buy one appraiser that it was from the woodard co that makes patio furniture and if it is buy them it would be very scares no matter revival is in or not?
But if it is just another co with the same name it's worth would be very little?
So I am still stumped? is it the real deal or is it not?

There' s not much difference in value for pieces like this from one maker to another, values are based mainly on the style, condition and quality of construction.

It's the same woodard company that makes the metal furniture. I have a woodard piece with the same markings and looked up the history - the company switched to making metal furniture after a wood shortage in the great depression. Hope that helps.
