Ideal Doll

Description I bought this on an online auction simply because nobody else bid on it. There are cracks and missing fingers. Blue eyes that open and close. It also has something that looks like a speaker in its belly. I'm curious about its history and if the clothes and box are originals. Of course I'd like to know it's value too. Thanks for any information you can provide.

Your doll is made of composition.  They were produced for the most part from the early 20th century until the late 1940's, when hard plastic took over.  Do a search using composition Ideal doll and the size.   The speaker you refer to is most likely a crier box.  When the is tilted  it made a crying  sound.  They are often non working, but sometimes can be repaired, check utube for video instructions.   Collectively, they are called Mama Dolls

Value is all about condition.  Once you have established who she is, do an advanced search on eBay for sold dolls and note condition for an approximate value.
