Description

Hello

I am originally from Slovakia and I have been living in the UK for the last 10 years.

I have inherited some items from my nan, who has inherited them from her parents who got most of them as a reward when they were working for a rich German family around 1st World War time. All the items are currently in my mum's house in Slovakia.

We do not know the age of these. I can however provide some description as to the size of the items, etc.

The painting with the man and a plough pulled by the horses is 100 x 70 cm and has got a signature which looks like A.D. Hoffmann.

The pagan scene of the fire ritual is 90 x 68 cm but without signature.

The oriental plate's diameter is 30 cm. I do have another few oriental pieces which I think might be of a value but I will have to take pictures of these and send those in later. I am not sure if the items are more valuable if sold together, however the dynasty signs painted on the back of each vary so they are not all from the same dynasty.

The smaller plate has a hand-painted Franz Joseph 1st of Austria, the emperor of Austria (1830 - 1916) and diameter of 20 cm.

The goblin was hand created by my great grandmother around 1920-1930 and is 120 x 55 cm.

Any information provided would be greatly appreciated.

I will be looking forward to your response.

Many thanks and kind regards

Veronika
