Iron slave shackles

Description My brother found them when he was living in Dalton, Georgia in his backyard. The prior owner left a box that contained the shackles and some confederate dollor bills in an old shed. My brother then gave the items to me because he knows I like to collect old stuff.

I have a pair identical to these shackles w/ the key and they work! Does anyone have an idea of how much they are worth or any more history????

They are not necessarily "Slave Shackles", the same things were used in prisons and chain gangs well into the 20th Century.
